GCSE Results Day Information

Results will be available for Year 11 students to collect on Thursday 24 August between 10.00am and 11.00am. Results will also be emailed to your student school email address after 12.00 noon.

The hard copies of results not collected by students will be posted via Royal Mail 1st class to the address we have for you on our system. If you have moved house prior to exam results day it is important you let us know, so the results do not get posted to the wrong address.

If you want anyone else to collect your results, please email exams@mountbatten.school with the name of your nominated person.  They must have either a copy of your email or identification with them on results day.

Results will not be given out by telephone under any circumstances. If you need post-results advice, staff will be available during the morning on Results Day.

Post-results services

If you feel strongly that it is necessary to make an enquiry about your result you should first consult the Head of Subject to obtain their advice. You should be aware that your mark could go down, up or stay the same, the latter being the most likely outcome. There is a review fee, and it is refunded only if there is a change of the overall grade following the review.

4.3.2 Service 2 (Review of marking) This is a post-results review of the original marking to ensure that the mark scheme has been applied correctly. A marking error can occur because of:

• an administrative error;

• a failure to apply the mark scheme where a task has only a ‘right’ or ‘wrong’ answer;

• an unreasonable exercise of academic judgement.

The awarding body will train its reviewers to conduct reviews of marking accurately and consistently. Reviewers will not re-mark the script. They will only act to correct any errors identified in the original marking. https://www.jcq.org.uk/wp-content/uploads/2023/05/Post-Results-Service_June23_FINAL.pdf
