The Mountbatten Training Orchestra is an entry level ensemble open to all orchestral instrumentalists who are at the start of their musical journey. If your child is able to play 5 notes on their instrument, this is the ideal place for them to begin to experience the joy of making music with others. The orchestra draws its members from local Primary schools, and the young players are supported and mentored by students from Mountbatten Music Academy. When they reach a suitable standard of playing, students will progress from this ensemble to the Romsey Area Schools Orchestra (RASO) ensembles run by Hampshire Music Service on Thursday evenings at Mountbatten School.

The Mountbatten Training Orchestra rehearses every Thursday during term time, from 4pm until 4.45pm in the Lantern Building. Membership fees are £35 per term. For further information please contact musicdepartment@mountbatten.school
