Internationalism

Being an International School is about bringing the excitement of meaningful contact with partner schools from across the globe and using this authentic learning to bring the world into the classroom and create rich learning experiences.

It is a legacy that is close to Earl Mountbatten's heart as President of the United World College: recognising that an excellent education encompasses global collaboration and learning not just for students but for staff.

We are proud that our work and ethos has been recognised with the British Council's International School Award, and it acknowledges our active collaboration with our partner schools in India, China and The Gambia. We are quite clear that internationalism, in our school, engenders positive and informed attitudes towards the wider world, a diverse and stimulating curriculum and ensures that we develop young people who are culturally and linguistically empathetic, tolerant and aware.
