Last week two events reflected completely the journey our students - your children - take through school. Mr Dunn told you about our Open Evening in last week’s newsletter and we hope to see many of those Year 5 students, ‘bright eyed and bushy tailed’ and in oversized school uniform come through our doors in a year or so!
Then on Friday evening, we celebrated with our outgoing Year 11 at their end of year prom as they go on to the next stage of their lives as young adults after Mountbatten. Every single one of them is a credit to themselves, their family and school.
As a fellow parent, it doesn’t seem that long ago that I walked a white-haired tot to her first day at reception, and now she has her own life, house and career! Time flies!

Walk The Test Way Charity Walk
Rotary Club of Romsey Test are running an event in September. Walk The Test Way Charity walk is an event that has raised over £1m for walkers charities. It is their major fundraiser of the year and enables them to continue to carry out charitable work over the year.
As part of drive to be a more sustainable school and to support families in our community, we are setting up a school uniform shop on site.
We are looking for CLEAN and UNDAMAGED uniform and PE kit as well as new, unworn shirts.
If you are a Year 11 leaver with spare uniform or have a child that has had a growth spurt leaving you left with good uniform that’s just too small, we would love to take it off your hands!
If you have anything that can be donated please can it be brought to Reception. We hope to have our uniform shop open in September.
Hot Weather
Looking ahead at the forecast we are in for a sunny spell until the end of term! Therefore, from next week until the end of term, blazers and ties will be optional for students.
Please ensure students are sent in with water bottles. Students are taking part in lots of events on the field next week; we recommend students bring sunscreen and hats on those days too.
Click the drop-down menus below to find out more about different careers opportunities coming up for our students.

Top Tip
With it being 'plastic free July', we thought we'd signpost our school community to some simple solutions to reduce our plastic waste.
We don't need a handful of people doing zero waste perfectly. We need millions of people doing it imperfectly." ~ Anne Marie Bonneau
