The school places a high priority on keeping students safe and secure when using digital systems. Families play an important role in supporting students to develop good online safety habits at home.

✅ Multi‑Factor Authentication (MFA)

• Enable multi‑factor authentication (MFA) on accounts wherever it is available.
• MFA requires an additional step to sign in, such as a code sent to a mobile device or an authenticator app.
• This significantly reduces the risk of unauthorised access, even if a password is compromised.

🔐 Password Security

• Encourage students to use strong, unique passwords for their school accounts.
• Passwords should not be reused across games, social media, or other websites.
• Students should never share passwords with friends or others.
• Be cautious of emails or messages asking for login details, even if they appear to come from a trusted source.

👤 Privacy and Personal Information

• Students should avoid sharing personal information online, including addresses, phone numbers, or school login details.
• Social media and app privacy settings should be set appropriately, with accounts kept private where possible.
• Location sharing should be disabled unless there is a clear and genuine reason for it.
• Think carefully before posting content online, as it may be difficult to remove once shared.
